Men’s Retreat is a special opportunity for men, young and old, to come together and receive strength, fellowship, and instruction on how to be better husbands, fathers, and servants of God. This annual event is always a blessing to all who attend.

Remembering Men’s Retreat 2017
"Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the old ways, and seek and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein” (Jer. 6:16). "Will YOU walk therein?"
I am thankful to report a successful Men's Retreat again this year. There were 31 in attendance.
Brother Butch Booth from Mississippi was the guest speaker. I'm sure everyone who was there would attest that he preached it straight to us and definitely delivered the Word of God to us!
We also all thoroughly enjoyed Brother Carr's class. The Lord was with us in a mighty way.
Thank you to each and every one who attended as well as the many who were praying for us from home. I have no doubt many prayers went up in behalf of this retreat, both before and during the course of the weekend.
Our focus for the retreat was on each of our own personal walks with God. Even though we say we want the old paths and we will walk therein, do our actions say the same thing?! Definitely something to ponder...Walk therein and ye shall find rest for your soul!

Remembering Men’s Retreat 2016
God was good to us this year once again! The Lord knows what we need exactly when we need it. Our theme was“We are not of them who draw back” taken from Hebrews 10:39. Our evangelist, Brother Joe Hill,a series of messages to us throughout the retreat. Friday night he preached that we can’t draw back. Saturday night he preached that we can’t stand still and, if we do, it’s like swimming upstream. If we stop swimming, we will eventually draw back. Sunday morning he preached to us that we have to go forward! The Lord was with us in a mighty way in our services. Our men were on their knees and faces weeping before the Lord on behalf of themselves, their families, their churches, and also their lost family and friends. There was a strong feeling of, “Lord, we need You and we cannot do anything on our own.” Saturday, Brother Jason Wright taught and ministered on the scripture Luke 19:13, “Occupy till I come.” Brother Jason wasn’t able to be there Friday night, but complemented the message that was preached Friday night, confirming what the Lord was trying to let us know as men of The Church of God. God’s Holy Ghost anointing was on our ministers as they shared the word of God with us!
I could never thank the Lord enough for the wonderful retreat that we had! I appreciate everything that our men did to make this a wonderful retreat. I especially appreciate our men for giving so freely in our offering for our evangelist and for myself! I don’t expect an offering and I know brother Joe didn’t either, but thank you so much for your giving. May the Lord richly bless you for your giving and all that you do for the Lord! Be praying for next year’s retreat! The Lord only knows what he has for the men of the church in the future! Thanks and God bless,
